Fahrenheit vom Heuerhaus

Fahrenheit (aka Blitz) is a dog I have had the opportunity to meet and spend time with a different few times and that had a litter with Cedar vom Borealen for my friend John Banister’s vom Sumpf AK kennel. Blitz belongs to a first time Drahthaar owner who took him through the tests and hunts him a lot. He even came up to Fairbanks from Colorado one year to hunt. Blitz is calm and collected as well as a dedicated hunter when you get outside. His strong pointing and cooperation are some of what we hope to see in the pups. Blitz is an athletic dog that is still hunting hard at 9 1/2 years of age. He has previously sired pups that show the athleticism, drive and temperament that makes Blitz a great dog.

Here is a write up from his owner who is now a JGHV performance judge: For anyone looking to breed to an outstanding hunting stud dog with a tight coat and great temperament, I suggest you consider Fahrenheit vom Heuerhaus (Blitz). Blitz is a high drive dog with an intensely purposeful search and great natural pointing ability that consistently produces shots on birds. He adjusts his search range for the cover, hunting close in tree rows and ranging out much further in big CRP or wheat stubble. He is a very enthusiastic retriever, always anxious to get that feathers in the mouth reward. He is very cooperative with a high desire to please, so was a pleasure to train for this first time Drahthaar owner. He has a great off switch and is quiet and calm in the crate or kennel.
Blitz tested very well, excelling in all subjects. He placed 4th in the 2015 Armbruster with littermates placing 1st and10th.
